GRADE 1 - TERM 1

LITTLE A - GRADE 1 - TERM 1

Well - we tried public school. Oct 2015 - June 2016
Little A did very well academically - but struggled with anxiety, and socially.
Little A would chew her fingers and toes until they bled. Every day at drop off - was either a fight, tears, she would run away - or she held on to me so tight that the teacher had to pry her off of me. I am done with the fighting - so we are trying this again... time will tell I guess what is a better option at this time for Little A.
Time to try home school again.

Little A has been very eager to get into her workbooks.
Today is Sept 5th - She has already completed 34 pages in her Jump Math book.
She is enjoying it very much.

I am hoping that she will get assessments done this year and hopefully some supports will fall into place...

Nov 2014 Little A

November 2014
Little A has started opening the front door. This is unsettling as she is a flight risk, and if I am in the shower who knows who will be going in or out of the apartment.
Little A has started climbing the balcony... no more outdoor time without an adult.
Everything seems to be a battle - socks & shoes, rain jackets, going to preschool, going to Sunday school & Children's church...
Nov 3rd - gave Little A a piece and a half of chocolate... after losing her body and her mind...she also lost her bladder... her last accident was in the summer after she was given an overload of sugar / chemical filled foods. When will I learn my lesson. I so badly want my kids to live "normal" lives and be able to indulge every once in a while.
Nov 4th - I had to walk both girls to Big A's art class... We practise street safety each time we walk to preschool and anywhere else we walk... however - I had to jump and "save" her 2x on our walk today...she almost got hit by 2 cars. Soooo terrifying.

May 2015 - Walking to the park, we are still working on street safety... Little A ran across at the lights and then turned and started to run into a car the was driving towards her :(  4.5 years old and still does not get it...
